📜 Store History
The founder of the e-shop Scootshop.cz is the legendary rider Martin Nogol, who is among the founders of scootering not only in the Czech Republic but also in Europe. Has been driving since 2001. He achieved a number of successes in prestigious races and was ranked among the best riders of his time. He also has several "World Firsts" to his name (Flair on a vertical ramp, 6x Tailwhip in a halfpipe, 900 in a halfpipe). He is one of the most recognized icons of world scootering.
The story of Scootshop began in 2011, when Martin Nogol decided to start his own shop. During that period, he went through many injuries and felt that he would no longer be able to ride as actively as before. He didn't want to do anything else but work with what he loves – and that's freestyle scooters. A project for brands was initiated and work began on the first e-shop.
Right after launching the e-shop, the first orders came in. :) We started organizing the first races and tried to support this sport as much as possible in the Czech Republic.
In 2013, Martin Nogol made a huge comeback in freestyle scootering and started actively competing again. In 2014, he won several races in Europe. In 2015, he participated in his first Big Air competition in the USA, where he finished 9th. place.
In 2014, Scootshop.cz also became a distributor of Chilli scooters, Area longboards, and Nokaic scooters.
At the same time, we were working on a new website that was released in the first half of 2014.
In 2016, we experienced a significant boom – distribution took off fully and sales increased sharply, thanks to our approach to customers and scooters. :) This year, we started sponsoring major figures in Czech scootering and opened a store in Hradec Králové. Martin Nogol unfortunately had to decide whether he wanted to continue competing at a high level in sports or focus on business.
In 2017, new brands for distribution arrived: Bestial Wolf, Scoobik, Bibanda, MetalCore. We organized great races and supported many new faces and events. This year, we also started working on new websites. Finding the right company that could create a website according to our standards and requirements was really difficult. After about ten meetings, we finally found the right partner and started working intensively on the new website in May. It wasn't easy at all.
In 2018, we launched a new website to make shopping easier for customers. It is clearer and above all – after registration, the customer can file complaints, has access to invoices, sees when the goods will arrive, etc. Everything is designed according to our ideas, and we are very pleased to show you this website.
