Handlebar Height:
It is measured from the bottom of the handlebars (end of the clamp) to the top of the tube where the grips are
Handlebar Width:
The top tube is measured from one end to the other (where the handles end)
When the handlebars are too high and wide, it can lead to bending of the handlebars! Bars that are too wide and high are for pros or those who can ride well and have clean landings.
How to Choose the Right Handlebar Size
The best handlebar size is around the rider's waist.
BUT IT DEPENDS on the rider themselves how they ride best. Some people like high handlebars, while others prefer low ones.
they have great durability, but won't bend, they will break straight away (only for experienced riders)
excellent for skateparks
they come in multiple diameters (32, 28 inner or 32, 35 outer)
Handlebar Diameters
Outer Diameter of Handlebars
it is the average in cm, the width of the handlebar's bottom tube from the outside
determines the internal diameter of the clamp (35mm and 32mm)
Internal diameter of handlebars
it is the average in cm, the width of the handlebar's bottom tube inside
determines the type of compression system that can be used.
For inner diameters of 32mm, we use HIC or SCS (for SCS, handlebars without a notch must be used). These handlebars typically have an outer diameter of 35mm.
for an inner diameter of 28mm (standard), we use ICS, IHC, SpiderHIC, SCS or a threaded compression system
these are handlebars designed for the HIC compression system. The handlebars have a wider diameter of the lower tube. They have outer diameters of 35 mm and inner diameters of 32 mm. We tighten the handlebars with a clamp.
some handlebars have a notch, but they don't have to! These are then very high handlebars
