Threaded headsets are used only for threaded forks.
It is the oldest headset and com. system used in freestyle scootering.
We find it only in cheap scooters up to 3,000 CZK.
They consist of a wreath of balls, bowls, a fork ring, and two nuts that are tightened against each other (these are so-called. locknuts)
Advantages: inexpensive headset
Disadvantages: wear out and break more quickly, handlebar turning is not smooth, must be constantly tightened otherwise they will get damaged
Assembly: Carefully hammer the cups without bearings into the board. They must be hammered in straight. We insert the bearings into the cups. The balls must be towards the bowls! We place a ring on the fork (flatter bottom, included in the package with some forks), and thread the fork through the board. We put nuts on the fork. Mothers are so-called. Locknuts, they are tightened towards each other to prevent loosening.

The headset consists of: industrial bearings, cups, a ring (headset spacer), and a fork ring.
You need to use some compr. system for tightening the headset.
Advantages: thanks to industrial bearings, the rotation is smooth.
Disadvantages: cups can wear out, more expensive than a threaded headset
Assembly: Carefully hammer the cups without bearings into the board, they must be hammered in straight. Place the bearings into the bowls, with the tapered part facing the bowl. We place a ring on the fork (flatter bottom, included in the package with some forks), and thread the fork through the board. Place the second ring on the fork (it should fit into the bearing) and the cover.
