Hello scooter boyz,
I am Tomáš Lorenc, I want to tell you what I'm working on now and that I haven't stopped being involved in scooters (freestyle scootering), I still ride just a little less, but currently, I am focusing on securing, or insuring athletes of "adrenaline sports" with my brother, who ensures everything so that things I was used to when I started or rode at a professional level no longer happen.
And what used to happen?
It happens that when a certain athlete does not have insurance specifically for their sport, which in this case is freestyle scootering, it can happen that out of the blue, your insurance company cancels the contract you were supposed to have for X duration and pays nothing.
And why have it? Or say that it happened to me when I was going down the stairs and fell!
When I was at the races in Munich, Germany, where the ISPO fair is held annually, I was invited there by my sponsor CHILLI PRO SCOOTER. I was training and suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt unwell just as I flew into the air and slammed the front wheel directly into the coping (the slide bar on the ramp).
Suddenly, I woke up and there were doctors and ambulances around me, and I was completely immobile. It took a long time for me to recover and regain my composure from this.
So I want to say that the stay in Germany and the multiple ambulance transfers cost a lot, but at that time I didn't have insurance specifically for this sport, so an unnamed insurance company terminated my contract and I was in trouble.
And what happened next?…
