Wearing a scooter helmet can also give you extra confidence when performing new tricks and jumps.

Scooter helmets

There are many elements that distinguish scooter helmets from classic bicycle helmets. Scooter helmets are designed, compared to standard cycling helmets, mainly to protect the back of the head. Scooter helmets are also resistant to multiple impacts, meaning they can withstand many smaller impacts without needing to be replaced. Helmets marked with the EN 1078 certification are also approved for skateboarding, inline skating and cycling.

How to choose a scooter helmet?

A scooter helmet should definitely be lightweight and comfortable and of course provide excellent protection. The helmet should fit well on your head without wobbling and without compromising comfort. Modern helmets are designed to be comfortable and are equipped with foam padding. Many models also include additional removable padding, allowing you to adjust the helmet perfectly to your size.

Before buying a helmet, it is of course important to measure your head properly to find your optimal size. With a proper freestyle scooter helmet you will always stay safe.

How to measure your head circumference

Measure the circumference of your head just above your ears and eyebrows. The helmet should sit low and level on your head and should not be tilted.
