About the category Brakes
Freestyle scooter brakes are usually made of steel, they are lightweight and do not produce any unpleasant noise. It is good to choose the right brake, it should be from the same manufacturer as your deck. We sell brakes from many very high-quality brands. Nowadays brakes with a spring and screw are almost no longer used. Today we use brakes that are simply screwed onto the deck and thanks to the production material (steel) they are flexible, lightweight and do not produce unpleasant noise.

Not sure which one to choose? Check our guide here: How to choose brakes

How to brake correctly?

  • ideally use the brake only during tricks such as manuals.
  • brake by dragging the sole of your shoe on the ground. This way your wheels will not get damaged and the brake will not wear out so quickly.
  • if you stomp on the brake you can create a flat spot on the wheel and the wheel is unusable and it does not matter whether the wheel costs 16 or 60 EUR.
