Winnwell Shooting Pad boards are made from a blend of special polymers that are contained in artificial ice. the slipperiness of the plate is comparable to conventional ice. So you can practice shooting with a classic hockey puck without any worries. The Green Biscuit training pucks are extremely fast on Winnwell's flats. So if you want to practice the technique with a stick, stickhandling recommends trying this combination. What is the lifetime of the plates? They are almost indestructible. With normal use (the board will be used to practice shooting or other hockey skills) it will last a lot. However, the wear and scratches that must be taken into account do not affect the excellent properties of the boards or their slipperiness. In addition, scratches and small grooves enhance the properties of classic ice, which is also not 100% smooth. But as they say, too much of anything is bad! If you have small gravel or sharp stones on the board it is always a good idea to wash and clean the board. Is any special maintenance required? It's not! No special products or polishes are used on the boards. If the board is dirty, just sweep or wipe it with a damp cloth, let it dry and you can start training again.
The largest of the shooting boards is the Winnwell Shooting Pad Roll Up Extreme. The 3 x 1.5 m board allows for a really good training. A spacious scrolling board that is great for practicing shooting, stickhandling, faceoffs and other hockey skills in a large area. Due to its larger size, the board does not have any handling handles like the smaller models. The overall handling of the board is also worse, but if you can find a permanent place for it, you will definitely be satisfied. We send the board rolled up in its packaging, after unpacking it, just lay it on a flat surface and wait for it to flatten and adjust perfectly. It takes some time, Roll Up Extreme boards are 2-3 mm thick and the material has some memory. The time for full alignment with the substrate depends on the time the board has been wiped. Usually within a few hours is ready to shoot.
The board can be used outdoors or at home. The shooting board will protect your precious hockey stick against damage as it happens on hard surfaces such as concrete or tiles. The surface of the board simulates classic ice as much as possible. roll Up boards do not have a UV filter, so it is not recommended to expose them to sunlight for a long time (there is a risk of rippling of the board).
