We redesigned the core form and found (finally) a new material for the core that is stable, strong, tough, dimensionally stable. It can be injection moulded with high form accuracy. The core is first coated with a central soft PU layer, which perfectly dampens vibrations. The hard outer layer ensures low rolling resistance and low wear. Through the external - direct contact between the core and the harder PU layer, the rebound energy is effectively transferred to the forward motion. This is achieved by the fact that impacts from bumps must be damped in the microsecond range, while bouncing (albeit more dynamic) takes place in the tens of microseconds range.
